Day two

It's has now been 48 hours that I've been a dad to a baby boy. I know that really I've been a dad to him this whole time. It does though, feel like he has no past. To me it's like we lost a little girl and have adopted this very amazing little boy. It is fun and giving him the past by seeing the signs that were there that pointed to boy. Things think his love of guitar and the rapper Eminem. People have asked me if I was disappointed and i don't know really how to answer that one. On one hand, yes I am but only because I thought for so long he was a she. When we went to get the ultrasound I did not care what we were having. I love this little man to death and he has been, is and always will be my little boy. Now on the other hand I'm not at all disappointed. Again, not that I was not wanting a girl but now we boys out number mommy. Plus Lego's and not barbies is always a good thing. I also won't have to have to much pink stuff taking over our apartment.
There are some funny things that we keep finding though all this that just make us laugh. I think the funniest one for me is that through this whole time Lillie has been praying for our babies husband. It makes me smile every time i think about it. It is amazing to know that God is so much bigger than we think we know. It also makes me glad to know that God is sovereign. To know that even though we were prayng for "Olivia's husband" God knows to prepare a wife for him. It's just some of these little things that show me how we only get to see a layer of the onion until God peels back more. I'm so glad God is much greater than I know Him to be. It's been and will keep being a great trip learning about how big our God is. I think for so long I've put what God can do in a box and said "here are Your limets God you can't do more than that". I'm now seeing God is amazing and how big He is. I know with this little man there's a lot more to learn. I pray He never stops teaching me.

Plan B

Miss Olivia becomes a figment of the imagination as she vanishes into thin air and our Father must smile that we humans have the audacity to think we can have it all figured out. Welcome William Emeal Lynn Weihe 7# 9oz 21 inches. How is it you have no past and suddenly you are here? I think they'll keep him though as he is an adorable little redhead--perhaps strawberry blonde-- with blue eyes. He has a lusty cry and his molded little head is already rounding out. He seems quite content to suck his thumb, is bright eyed and has wonderful reflexes. He also has an extensive pink wardrobe and baby parphernalia! Thanks to the Weihe family and grandparents for rushing out to remedy this situation.
Will did come home in blue after all. Everyone is doing well and they were home by 8:30pm. Now they are tucked into their special room asleep! Sounds like an amazing idea...Goodnight.

It's a Boy!!!???!!!

Awe..isn't she cute...uh mom..points. I knew it was a BOY!!! She did great. Baby has red hair and looks like about 7# Will hasn't been surrendered yet for a weight. Born at 1233.

Update 12-12-11 at 11am.

Miss Lillie spending alot of time kneeling on her sheep skin. Doing fairly well tolerating Pit. They want to Pit her as hard as she will allow...which isn't all that hard. She is still 3cm dilated this a.m. Hospital is getting less patient and the atmosphere has changed. Thanks for your prayer and support.

It's a New Day

Lillie and KW were able to rest much of the night. Lil reported she got sick once after the pain meds and a bowl of soup. Thank goodness no evidence of those cold fries she cobbed behind the nurses back! To the showers, walk and the Pit begins. She had good cx on just a little bit Sunday so hopefully just need to encourage that uterus and babe today. Baby still looks good on the monitor and no signs of any infection. We are blessed by that. Better get some food to that starvin' boy.
12-12-11 at 0600. It's Olivia's due date.

Middle of the night

So all is well, right now lillie is filling out the paper work while I (kyler) write a little. Right now it feels like we're in overtime in a football game. We know soon or later it has to be over. We're praying for soon. Lillie and I are going to try to sleep some more that way we have some energy for later. Lillie has had some more soup to help feed her hunger but I'm still wanting some food. So if any one is up late and reading this and wants to bring me pizza I'm cool with that. So its off to try to get some sleep. I wake up for pizza though.

"I feel like I'm high. You are High!"

Lillie's been up and tried several different positions of comfort that help and allowed her to relax. Kyler has tried to rest but is unable to sleep. We've sent the waiting folks home...it's a lot of pressure when people are "waiting on you to perform." Lillie really wanted to sleep but was afraid of lying down (causes her lots of back pain.) So the nurses positioned her on her side and we put KW in the bed behind her and got them comfy with 29 pillows. Oh and some of that magic Nubain....woah I feel high. Lights out! We have come home to rest.
Please pray that Lillie wakes up rested and her contractions kick in better with a nice strong and regular pattern.

The Beauty of a Hot Shower and Tears

An hour in the shower with the hubby doing a little boohooing seems to have really relaxed the Mama (and the Grandma) and allowed her to look like the proverbial homebirth Mama. Pit is off and contractions cont. Kudos to our great StV Frankfort nurses and Dr W for being patient. Lillie is currently "swaying it out" and doing great. Yeah!! Thanks for your prayers!
PS It's Lil that was boohooing..haha.

...

Please pray for Lillie. We believe she may have a mental block and is tense. Lots of prayer is needed for her to move on and embrace the new situation. Lillie and Kyler have had a shower and released quite a bit of emotion. Baby Olivia still looks good and is still moving around! More to come! ~Aunt Chels

Another Update

12-11-11  A quick update...Lillie is 3cm dilated, 80% efface.  There has been no change since 4:30p.  She is still having some tough contractions.  She is tired, but was able to get a little bit of rest.  Please pray that things will progress and she'll have the strength that she needs.

The Update

12-11-11 at 3:26pm. OK folks having trouble with this blog but I think it's up and running now. Lillie is at the hospital due awaking this am with light meconium. Midwife was not comfortable with this since she has had ruptured membranes. Dr was fine with meconium and baby looks great but the risks of infection have to be considered. While they would have loved to go back home Penny nixed that idea for the sake of safety.
So Lillie is on low dose Pitocin now in light of being 2cm dilated about two hrs ago. She is having good contractions. It's difficult for her to get comfortable with all these unplanned lines to deal with. From Grandma's hospital perspective mom and baby look good.
They've had great support and prayer and for this we thank you.

Getting on th ball-the 1:21am update.

Mama's tired and having some good strong contractions. She likes her ball and is doing a great job! Daddy's ready for bed...or he's working on his coffee idea? Penny says, "Take Vit C every 2 hrs and call me in the morning."

Let The Games Begin..G Tansey's Story

Yep, heard that all before...cx every 5 min..back hurts...crampy...more signs...a most anticipated birth of grandbaby number 8. I'm trying not to bug her too much for the latest status. Friday comes and Miss Lil reports feeling "leaky"....hmmm. Saturday comes and we go to Jake and Jeremy's most entertaining basketball game. (3 yr old Abby says she will have a baby someday and she will definitely scream!!) BB game was daring risk considering the drama that could ensue! Come to find out there is a need for a visit to Penny where we find out Lillie was not imagining things and Miss Olivia is a "happy baby!" No checking the cervix due to ruptured membranes but Penny can see about 50% effacement. Word is 48hrs to 10 days...whaattt! Lillie's been having good contractions around 5 min apart most of the day. But Grandma T still has a list of things to do. Birth room ready--not too hard. Bring in all the Weihe paraphernalia.and laundry, then onto cleaning and cookies etc, etc. Did I mention the Mama wanted Arni's? Yep, plenty of salad and pizza and ..cheese sauce? We were tickled that Hannah's mom was our waitress and she had no idea what was up!
Spent the eve making cookies while Lillie made her blog. Sister Chels stopped by to help. Sister Chasta called to check. Cx faded a bit with some relaxation. Grandpa T and Daddy K went to town to get the various forgotten cords and chargers. Not always the greatest idea to send two guys to town! How many kinds of cheese can you but anyway? Flowers and Olivia's traditional stuffed animal were appreciated.
Daddy K keeps in touch with his excited family and the phones keep dinging. looks like those cx might pick up. NST by phone con't to show a happy baby..yeah! Thank you Lord!

Let the games begin....
